Company history

La Belle, a privately held company, was established over 30 years ago in Western Canada by Henry J. Wiebe. Mr. Wiebe drew upon the agricultural roots of his family and established the current family poultry system all the way from eggs, processing, to feed milling. The family agricultural business then saw the need to expand into research and development of new products and services.

In 1985, the company moved to California, and then in 1991, relocated its corporate headquarters to Bellingham, Washington. La Belle today is run by the third generation of Wiebes, who bring their long-standing background and expertise in agriculture to the management of the company.

The company has played a groundbreaking role in the colostrum industry, having helped write the legislation in the state of Washington that recognized the production of colostrum for human consumption.
